Our first son was born in 1984 and our second in 1998. Our first grand child was born in 2013 so┬áit seems for ever that we have been looking for child friendly places to go for lunch with our friends. With the mining boom creating a large number of young families with disposable income, many of the new restaurant – wineries started to put in play grounds and play areas to make them family friendly. Now Margaret River is starting to get several breweries and many have made the play area and grassed area a must to entice young families to visit and spend the afternoon.

We were greeted by one of the Cowaramup Cows at the entrance which our grand daughter immediately wanted to play on, she was happy, we were happy. We then went through to the large play area, situated next to the grassed area which has an abundance of large tables and umbrellas.

Those without children can easily find a nice area where they cannot see any of this and be entertained by the live music on Sundays.
