Kingfisher Restaurant – Margaret River – Indian Restaurant
The decor is very simple, bright and airy. The Indian music playing in the background was very Bollywood but not too intrusive.
On the night we visited there were only three tables of guests but throughout our visit there was a steady flow of take out meals meaning that the kitchen was busy enough to give us confidence that our meal would be fresh.
We ordered garlic naan bread, chicken 65 and vegetable samosa’s for entree and found this to be a very enjoyable way to start our meal. Since the restaurant is currently unlicensed, Bruce brought along a bottle of wine to quietly drink as we talked over our meal.
For main we shared a Madras Chicken and rice which was very enjoyable. Overall we both found the experience good and will go back again when the mood takes us.
The pricing of both our sit down meal and the take away meals were very good and easily rivals the curry vans that visit our town. I think supporting businesses that are prepared to set up a permanent base in our town is very important and I don’t think the small variation in prices would deter me from choosing Kingfisher over the vans any time.
