If you drive down Caves Road from Yallingup to Margaret River you can not help but notice the “Chic on a Stick” sculpture at Laurance Winery. If you choose to go in you will be greeted by lovely grounds where you can have a picnic lunch (blankets provided) or a great little restaurant overlooking the vines. We stopped in for lunch and were most impressed. Rosie and I had the Swimmers Platter, which was very generous with a good selection of seafood. Other guests had the “Walks Platter” which as the name suggests was all proteins that come on legs, which they loved. We also tasted the burgers and pasta dishes and everyone was very happy with their meal choices. Overall it was a great experience and highly recommended. Di Laurance, the owner, has put her signature on several aspects of this winery, with their specialty wine being the Rose and all the wines being bottled in very distinctive oval shaped bottles. The bathrooms are also a pleasure to visit. Well worth stopping in for a fantastic experience.
